Seafood and Pastries, A Trip to Portugal

It was a very good experience and I recommend trying new foods, because you never know what you'll discover that you like!

How is the food prepared?:

The famous Belém pastries are basically made like a tart, which is made with butter, flour and sugar, but the actual recipe is kept secret! The filling is made with eggs and sugar and you can eat it with cinnamon and powdered sugar on top.

Is this food connected to the local environment? How?:

The seafood dishes are closely tied to Lisbon's coastal environment. Costal countries usually have more dishes made with fresh seafood because they don't have to import it from another country. I think the freshness and warmth of both the seafood and the pastries are really connected to the Lisbon environment.
