What main languages are spoken here?:

The main languages spoken in Azrou are Arabic and French. Arabic is the dominant language in the Middle East and North Africa, and French has a deep history in Africa. However, Moroccans speak a dialect of Arabic known as Darija. Darija is a regional version and is rarely heard outside of Morocco. Moroccan kids are taught French in school and become fluent in speaking multiple languages by the time they enter college.

What type of money is used here?:

In Morocco, the money is known as the dirham (dir-am). The dirham can look different ways. The larger dirhams are paper bills, while the smaller dirhams are coins. The largest paper bill is 200 dirhams, and the smallest coin is half a dirham.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

In Morocco, a bottle of water is very cheap. A large bottle of water is roughly around six dirhams, which equals about 60 U.S. cents.

The best meal I had this week was a South Korean dish made for the Korean Thanksgiving.

This week I listend to French rap. French is one of the languages spoken in Morocco, so there is a huge French influence. Moroccan college students enjoy music from all over the world, but the most-played music is either French or American music. This week I heard a lot of French music.
