This past weekend I went to Amsterdam, which is only two hours away from Hasselt by train. Amsterdam has been one of my favorite cities to ever visit because of the old brick buildings, network of canals and history dating back hundreds of years.
So far this trip, I have travelled 5525 miles from California to Paris, then another 240 miles from Paris to Hasselt. I really want to go to Morocco when I am here, since the flights are very cheap!
I got around mainly on foot or by bus this week! Taxis are not as commonly used here as in other parts of the world where I have traveled or lived, and there is no metro in the city of Hasselt. The busses are similar to the ones in the U.S.A., meaning that they do not always run on schedule!
