The most interesting place I visited was probably the gardens of the National Centre for Biological Sciences, my host institution. The area is incredibly lush, and I often indulge in walks along the campus pond to enjoy the ornamental bougainvillea trees and the fragrant champaca flowers strewn along the path.
Last month, I traveled all the way to Germany to pick up new hoverflies, and the following week I flew to Kochi (pronounced Ko-chee), in the state of Kerala (pronounced Ker-a-lah) to present my research at a conference. After so much traveling, I was happy to spend this past week firmly rooted in Bangalore!
