What main languages are spoken here?:

Spanish is the most spoken language in Valencia. The other popular language is Valencian. It's very similar to Spanish, but certain words are spelled differently or have different meanings. You won't find many people here who speak English, but every now and then you'll meet someone who knows a few words.

What type of money is used here?:

Throughout all of Spain and many other European countries, you use euros to pay for things. The symbol for the euro is "€". One euro is equal to about one dollar and eighteen cents in American money: €1 = $1.18.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water here usually costs around €2. That's equal to $2.35. It's a little bit more expensive than what you could get it for at a grocery store in America, but it's still not really expensive.

What was the best meal this week?:

I went to a local restaurant this weekend that is said to have the best seafood on the coast. It did not disappoint. I had a Valencian dish called FideuàIt's a pasta dish made with fish and shellfish and seasoned with lemon. I ws a little skeptical to try it at first because I don't like fish that much, but it was delicious!!
