Do you know how many seasons there are in Spain? This is a little bit of a trick question, because technically there are 4 (winter, spring, summer, fall), but everyone I have met says that there are only two. The reason they believe that Spain is a two-season country is because there are only two types of weather here. From May to August the weather is incredibly warm with temperatures around 70-80°F most days. This is their summer, and it sometimes even lasts until late September like this year. Contrarily, from September to March, the weather is cloudy with temperatures around 40-60°F. They call this season their winter. Where I'm from, we don't say winter until there's snow on the ground. I think that shows how people perceive weather, and the environment in general, differently depending on where they live.
