Mandarin or 普通话 (Putonghua) is the main language of China. However, pretty much every area in China has its own dialect. In Wuhan, you may also hear people speaking 武汉话 (Wuhanhua).
We use the Chinese renminbi (RMB), which we also call Chinese yen or 快 (kuai).
A bottle of water costs about 2 块. Every other day I’ll go to the supermarket by my apartment and buy 4.5 liters of water, which costs 10 块. I always make sure to stay hydrated!
This week, I went to a Chinese barbecue restaurant called 烧烤(shao kao). This was hands down the best meal I ate this week. We had chicken wings, fish, potatoes, eggplant, clams and even frog!
I listened to my shower playlist quite a bit, which features a lot of Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. Now, you might be asking why I was listening to my shower playlist. It’s because these are my favorite songs to sing and I went to KTV (karaoke) with some friends this week, so I had to practice my singing!
