A Bit About Me

Hello, adventurers! 大家好(da jia hao)! My name is Teresa Chappell. I grew up in a town located right in the middle of Connecticut called Farmington, but my family recently just moved to Guilford, CT. It’s about an hour south of Farmington and is right on the shore of the Long Island Sound--it’s a great summer town!

For college, I attended Franklin and Marshall, located in Lancaster, Pennslyvania. I double-majored in creative writing and French and minored in Chinese. I love being able to write stories and poems and I enjoyed when an assignment had me combine this love with my language learning, whether it be writing a story in French or studying an ancient Chinese poem. Besides academics, I was also a part of the women’s rowing team, which is practically a year-round sport. Being active and exercising is a way of life for me, and I always try to pursue new activities that get me moving!

In college, I was also an Off-Campus Study Ambassador. This means I worked in the Off-Campus Study Office and helped students when they had any questions about studying abroad. I think this role ultimately helped lead me to where I am now as a Princeton in Asia Fellow and English teacher at Wuhan University of Technology.
