Autobiography

Fantasy and science fiction books are my favorite; however, nowadays I mostly read college textbooks.

In Mississippi, I attend the University of Southern Mississippi which is about an hour drive from my house. My major is environmental biology, but I also have minors in Spanish and chemistry because I love sciences, but also have an interest in learning about different cultures. In the future, I hope to become a wildlife biologist and work somewhere like a national park to help preserve and study wild animal populations.

Because my family travels a lot, I have been to many places in North America such as Yosemite National Park in California, Denali National Park in Alaska, and Dzibilchaltun Mayan ruins in Mexico. I love traveling and going on adventures both near my home and far away because there is a lot to learn about different people, cultures and history, no matter where you are. However, since I have never been outside of North America and never lived outside of Mississippi, I have always wanted to experience what it is like to live full time in a completely different place.

This semester, I am fortunate to achieve this dream by attending the University of Exeter in Exeter, England.  At the University of Exeter, my course (called Major in America) is also biology. Along with studying, I will also be traveling to many places in England and Europe. One of the things I am most looking forward to in England is seeing the many national parks and historical sights available near my college and further away.
