Immediately, I opened up Facebook and messaged Eva to ask her more about her city and family in the Czech Republic. My excitement only began to build from there. She told me about love for the Czech countryside, food and history, and I became more and more fascinated with this little country in heart of Europe. In the end, I decided to apply and after months of applications and interviews, I was selected! I couldn't be happier with my new home and school. Now here I am, months later, working as an English teacher in Lanškroun, Czechia, with little knowledge of the language or the culture, but learning quickly. I must say that so far, the Czech Republic is living up to to my expectations. I can't wait to share even more with you as the year goes on.
