Ahoj Again and Farewell

However, my journey with you ends here. As I write this for you right now, I am sitting in a tiny coffee shop in my town square, while you are waking up and getting ready for school. Everyone in the cafe is busy chatting and laughing. Dua Lipa is on the radio. I am slowly chewing my way through an almond and coconut cake, and draining my tall glass of eggnog coffee with whipped cream. I am a continent and ocean away, but I don't feel so far away from home right now. Thank you for keeping me company and keeping me connected to the United States.

Ahoj is a lot like the word aloha. It means both hello and goodbye in Czech, like aloha can mean hello or goodbye in Hawaiian. So for now, I will say "Ahoj," but I hope this is not the end for us. New beginnings can start anytime. Maybe I will see you again in the future, when you go out and reach the world too! I am 26 years old and am still having a lot of first-time experiences. Nothing can stop you if you put your mind to it, and it's never too late to start.
