The weather, for the most part, was exceptionally beautiful this week. It was sunny, with the perfect "just starting to be fall" temperature. The leaves are beginning to change color, but everything is still mostly green.
Because I am in the center of the city, I do not normally see native animals. I did see a lot of pet dogs and a few stray cats on my walk to my classes every day. There is a mother cat with kittens that lives in the flower bed along my walk.
My host at my university gave me two African violets to put in my window. They have acclimated to their new home, and really make my space feel more warm and alive.
Fall is arriving and the temperature has started to drop. The flowers that were in full bloom when I arrived are slowly beginning to wilt. The trees have begun to partially turn color. It is a really beautiful time to be in Omsk.
