I like to listen to music in Spanish to help me learn the language better!
I went horseback riding through beautiful mountains, forests, vineyards and olive trees! A kind woman at a local finca took me on a horseback ride to enjoy the breathtaking landscape in La Rioja. I even got to practice trotting my horse, which was so much fun!
This week, I am reading a very interesting autobiography by Maya Angelou titled, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.
There are many beautiful trails in La Rioja, so I love to go hiking and running!
January 6 is a holiday in Spain called Día de Los Reyes Magos, which means "Day of the Magic Kings." This holiday is part of the local Christmas celebration. There are three Reyes Magos, and in the United States, you may know them as "the three Wisemen". It is a tradition that on the 6th of January, the three Reyes Magos arrive in Spain and bring presents to all of the children that have behaved well during the year. There are also parades in the streets where people celebrate the three magic kings. It is a very exciting holiday that is usually spent together with family.
