I stayed in town this week, so I did not travel more than 10 kilometers or 6.2 miles.
So far on my journey, I have traveled 3,435 miles from my hometown in North Carolina to San Jose, Costa Rica! I have also taken two trips to the beach and took my mom to explore the ruins in Cartago, Costa Rica; this adds roughly 260 miles for a grand total of 3,695 miles traveled so far!
This week I was still on vacation from work, so I mostly got around by walking to and from stores or, if it was more than a 20-minute walk, I would use Uber.
The most interesting place I visited this week was one of the local parks in my neighborhood. It sounds a little lame, but what made it so interesting was this park is situated in the middle of a cramped and busy neighborhood and runs along the river and in between the backs of houses. If you were not looking for it, you would completely miss it. Also, as is common in Costa Rica, almost every man-made surface was covered in graffiti, but it only added to the ambiance.
