I would highly recommend this novel for anyone who wants a fun and interesting read.
This week during my down time I played the new Super Smash Bros. game with my roommate and with some of my friends online. I also played basketball, called baloncesto or simply "basket" here, with one of the students to whom I give private English courses. I really enjoyed playing with him, as I have had a difficult time finding a court here on which to play, despite the popularity of basketball, here. The courts that the city does provide are situated exclusively outside, and since it is always raining, it is difficult to find a good time to play!
As a big sports fan, one difficult thing that I did not really anticipate when coming to Spain is how late all of the basketball and American football games that I want to watch start here. I decided to make the effort, and I groggily stayed up until 4:00am to watch the (unfortunate) end of the AFC Championship on Sunday. No matter how hard I cheer against them, or where I am, the Patriots always seem to find a way!
