你好, Nǐ hǎo (Hello)! My name is Megan Prangley. Currently, I am preparing to go to China as an exchange student. I have studied Mandarin, the standardized form of the Chinese language, for more than two years at Georgia Southern University. This semester, I have the opportunity to study Chinese alongside students from across the globe at the United International College in Zhuhai (joo-hi), China.

Along with taking two courses in Chinese in Zhuhai, I will take three courses in international relations. This includes a government and politics of the United States course, similar to the course you are taking yourselves. I will share the global perspectives I gain in this course with you. I hope that fresh perspectives contribute to your personal understanding of the United States' interactions with China and governments worldwide.

For now, I am spending time with my family in Florida as I gather everything I need for my journey to China. Last week, I updated my vaccinations (they say beauty, or worthwhile experiences, is pain, right?). This week, I picked up my visa in Houston. I have also spent time running to prepare for the running club I hope to join on my campus in China. I am excited my departure is near and will take many pictures to share with you. I am eager for you to be on this journey with me!
