I traveled a total of 72 kilometers (44 miles) to get to and from the culture center and the elementary school.
From my hometown in Virginia to Akita City, Japan alone I traveled 11,868 kilometers (7,374 miles). I have traveled 245 kilometers (152 miles) for field trips to Kakunodate, Oga Peninsula, and Yokote. I have also traveled well over 200 kilometers (124 miles) visiting elementary and junior high schools in the prefecture. I have traveled to the mall and into the city multiple times as well. I have traveled over 12,313 kilometers (7650) on my journey so far.
This week I took a charter bus to get to both the elementary school and the culture center.
Definitely the elementary school; they feel so different from our own in the U.S.
