"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." Whenever my time has ended in a place, I am always brought back to this Winnie the Pooh quote. Goodbyes are always the hardest part about any journey, but just knowing that signing off is difficult also means that the experience must have been meaningful. I have loved so much about my adventures here in Greifswald as well as the chance to share my journey with you. In two months I will have to say goodbye to a small city in Germany that now means the world to me.

Before I leave, I want to offer some advice that Greifswald has taught me.

The hardest climbs lead to the best views. I may have mentioned it before, but one of my favorite activities is to climb hills, church towers or old buildings--really any place that will give me a good view of my surroundings. Sometimes these climbs can take a long time, but the view at the top is always breathtaking. This is just like in life: the goals that are really worth it in the end can take a lot of work, but once you get where you're going, you will be so thankful you did it.

You can't cross the sea without the fear of leaving the shore. Doing big things means being a little afraid.
