Once someone finds out that I'm an American, I'm instantly lodged in a game of 20 Questions about where I'm from, what I think about living in America and of course questions about the president! I think in America we often avoid talking about politics with people we don't know well, but in the U.K., it's often someone's way of getting to know you. Even when talking about politics, people in the U.K. are still very polite and friendly and will often tell you the best places to see in the city so you get the most out of your time here.
