English Language Passion and Friendship

Many of my close friends right now I met in the Green Space. They are the major reason for me to continue mentoring the English Club for two years now. I asked them to send me short introductions about themselves so you could get to know them.

Ismail Alkafi had the idea of the co-working space when he went to Germany in 2015 as a part of a cross-cultural program between Germany and many Muslim countries including Sudan. He sent me this: "I like to travel, meet interesting people and enjoy cultural diversity. I try local foods and local languages wherever I go, and I am always open to know new people! I can not reach everywhere so I'm open to let people from everywhere reach me!"

Jihad Fayez is a 26-year-old software engineer. He said: "I like reading, knowing new people and learning new languages. I can speak Arabic (mother tongue), English, a little French and German. I liked the Green Space English Club from the very first session I attended because it--unlike any other club--uses different ways to encourage participants to engage with its activities. They use games where you will find yourself very comfort as a new club member, and you will find yourself engaged in the club from the first day you join. I had attended languages clubs before and I had seen none using similar techniques to this club. Here we had tried so many new things thanks to the club founder Sara. She is a very democratic person, she always hears for the members suggestions and looks into every single possibility to bring new members and please the existing ones." He finished by thanking all the club members.

Osama, a 23-year-old graduate of Khartoum University, said: "I work as a mechanical engineer. I also work as a teaching assistant at the university.
