English Language Passion and Friendship

Journal Entry:

Growing up in Saudi Arabia had shaped the most part of my personality. I studied in KSA for 12 years before I got into college in Sudan, but the personality I shaped there accompanied me until recently. Anyone who knows me now would not believe how much different I was two years ago.

This was mainly because of the people I met after I created the Green Space English Language Club.

I first met Ismail Alkafi, the founder of Green Co-working Space, in 2016 when I was working with a local NGO based in Khartoum. He told me about the objectives of the Space, mainly creating a large network connection between the Sudanese youth and providing different workshops and programs.

This was when I first had the idea of creating an English Language Club in order to help others to develop their English language skills, share the passion of learning, and at the same time to meet new interesting people with different perspectives about the world.

I decided to use card games and fun activities to create a comfortable environment and make the club experience more memorable. In addition, I tried to choose debatable topics at the end of every session to get to know the different perspectives and opinions. And as I expected, people we able to find what united them with those who agreed and disagreed with them.
