Nature News

When I arrived at noon, the water was pushed back about 50 feet, leaving tide pools full of small crabs and coral! The coolest thing I saw was a large red crab which was running around the tide pools hunting fish for dinner.

Other Nature News from this week:

On the other side of Coco Beach, there are huge rock cliffs that have been carved away by the ocean waves. When you climb to the top of the rock cliffs you are able to see the whole coast! It has crystal clear water that is almost turquoise. I was able to crawl down through huge holes and reach the beach where I found many fish swimming in the tide pools. I have only ever seen tide pools in the aquarium, so seeing natural tide pools full of sea urchins, small fish, crabs and shellfish made me very excited.
