The Kids of Ecuador

Introduction:

Hi! My name is Andres and I am Ecuadorian. I am ten years old and go to primary school. Here is a little bit about my life.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast I usually eat a grilled cheese sandwich, some fried eggs or some potatoes with some meat and with a piece of fruit. My mom also sometimes makes homemade fruit juice.

For lunch my mom cooks a big meal. It always includes rice and a soup of the day as well as some type of meat or beans, or both!

Since our lunch is so big, for dinner I'm usually not that hungry, so I'll just eat leftovers from lunch or some patacones with cheese and a piece of bread

What is your house like?:

I live in an apartment on the top floor. It has three bedrooms and one bathroom. We have a pretty big living room with a balcony on one side. Our kitchen has a back patio connected to it.

What chores do you have at home?:

My chores at home are to keep my room clean and to help out my mom if she needs it.

What jobs do your parents have?:

My dad is a professor at a school. My mom stays at home to do the cooking and cleaning.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

School starts at 7:20 a.m., and I get out at one p.m.
