Since coming to Kuantan, it has been cloudy and much cooler than in Kuala Lumpur (KL). Since this is a much smaller city without tall buildings, there is a cool breeze. Kuantan is closer to the water, and the closer you get to the water, the cooler it is.
This week, I saw more monkeys and stray cats. I was surprised not to see any birds by the ocean but I did see many crabs by the water. I also saw beta fish for sale at the night market.
The ocean! The water was quite warm and there were many rocks to climb. The beach was fairly quiet during the day. American beaches during the summertime can be very crowded. The sand was not very soft but it was still comfortable to walk on without shoes. At beaches back home, there are often many shells but at this beach, there were very few shells and they were small.
