The weather this week has been a mix of rainy and sunny. The rainy season is just now starting in Ibarra. This week it rained pretty lightly twice during the afternoons, and one time it rained a little harder at night. The other days have been sunny or partly cloudy throughout the day, so the temperature still feels pretty nice. From what I’ve heard from talking with people who live here, it will slowly get more rainy as the months go by.
In addition to the many stray dogs that I see walking around Ibarra, I also see lots of pigeons like you would in any city back home. Whenever I go to one of the parks, like Parque Pedro Moncayo, I often see someone sitting on a bench feeding bread to hordes of hungry pigeons.
