So, this past year I made the decision to go abroad! Not for a week or even a month, but for an entire Semester! This meant four months completely by myself in a new country. I hope that this will allow for a fully immersive experience where I can learn deeply about a country's people, history and culture. Ths is the way I wish I would have traveled all those years ago! I decided to come to Ireland because I had never been before! The beautiful green landscape, traditional music and Irish dance has always intrigued me, so I decided to experience it firsthand!
I hope that this journey pushes me outside of my comfort zone. I want to meet people from all over the world, eat new food, try new sports, and understand what school is like in an entirely new country. World travel has the potential to challenge an individual's perceptions and assumptions about the world around them, as well as about themselves. I can't wait to actively engage in my new surroundings!
