Autobiography

Tartu, Estonia is over 8,000 miles away from the United States, but I feel very comfortable and welcome here in my fire-brick red wooden house. I conduct research at a political institute, where, specifically, I analyze how successful the e-government platform in Estonia has been in preventing cyber threats.  I also work to promote the integrity of digital public services. I think that there is a lot the United States can learn from Estonia, especially on issues of technology and trust in government.  I have settled in nicely after only a week because everyone has been very generous and kind. Estonians are famous for being shy, but they also have a vibrant and lively singing culture dedicated to perserving folk songs and traditional costume. I feel I have a lot to learn from being in this country, and I am excited to share some of my discoveries with you!
