Come Meet Thoriq!

We live at my uncle's house. It's not so fancy, but it is very cozy. We appreciate being close to family. My uncle house has five rooms and one garage. His room is really big and has two airconditionors! West Pasaman is very tropical and very close to the beach and the equator. My uncle turns the air conditioner on at 5 a.m. Sometimes I can feel the airconditioner in his room in my own room, too. He doesn't usually have visitors.

My future home is under construction. The last time I saw it, four rooms were finished. There is a room for my little sister, one for my two little brothers, and one for my parents. There are two bathrooms, one outside and one in my father and mother's room. My parents also plan on having a swimming pool and garden at the house.

What chores do you have at home?:

My mom usually asks me to sweep the floors and do the laundry. Sometimes she asks me to make dinner for the family. She says she likes my cooking and especially when I make nasi goreng. She is trying to teach me how to make curry, but I need more practice to make it taste as good as hers.

My mom has work around the house before she goes to her work outside the home. When my mom wakes up in the morning at five a.m., I wake up with her! We pray and then I stay up to help her. I am like her right-hand man. My father doesn't usually help with chores because he is busy with work. He comes back later in the day compared to my mom.

What jobs do your parents have?:

In the office my mom works full-time as a secretary. She takes care of administration and office paper work.
