What main languages are spoken here?:

Japanese! Remember to say hello in Japanese you say: ”こにちは!” Or "Konichiwa."

What type of money is used here?:

The ¥ or "Yen." If you move the decimal 2 places to the left you can estimate about how many dollars you're spending. For example, 100¥ is one dollar, and 10000¥ is 100 dollars.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water is about one dollar or 100¥. 

What was the best meal this week?:

We went to a "yakiniku" place. Yakiniku means cooked meat. It is usually different cuts of beef as well as pork. It was delicious and there was a lot of it. The servers continually bring out the uncooked meats and actually allow you to cook it to your own liking. Would you want to try it?

What music did I listen to this week?:

This week I listened to a lot of hip-hop based in East Asia. Specifically, I listened to an individual named Keith Ape, who has found ways to rap in both Korean and English. He is quite an impressive artist. 

What activity was the most fun this week?:

Our students gave their final presentations on their research at the sister university which is also called Seishin. The presentations ranged from issues on global warming to cells and the working parts of cells.
