Dobry Den (Good day)! My name is Sarah Rothmann and I will be 23 years old on September 19. I was born in Andover, Massachusetts, a large town very close to Boston. I grew up as the oldest of six other brothers and sisters, one dog named Frank, four cats and nine chickens. There was never a dull moment in my house!
I have always loved to read and write and studied English at Bates College, a small school in Lewiston, Maine. While at Bates, I was able to watch my favorite stories come to life in London, England, where I studied abroad for the month of May during my third year. This trip gave me the travel bug and inspired me to share my love of English with students here in the Česky Têsín.
During my own education journey, I have loved reading and sharing my own stories with students of all ages and in many types of classrooms. I enjoy helping students write and talk about their own stories as well. As I learn how to teach English as a second language to Czech students while also figuring out how to find my own routine in a new country, I look forward to sharing my adventures with you all so we can learn alongside each other!
