Traveler Bio

¡Hola! Hello! My name is Sabrina, I’m 22 years old, and I live and teach in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. I studied here in Spain during my third year of college--in the country’s capital, Madrid--but this is my first time exploring Santiago!

Even though I’m living in a new place in the world, one thing that makes me feel at home here is how green everything is, even in the city! Galicia is known for having beautiful plants and green spaces, similar to my home state of Massachusetts. Massachusetts' cold winters have made me appreciate every moment of sunshine in the warm weather, so I love spending time in parks and gardens.

Santiago is also an artistic city with lots of music, dance and art. Even though I grew up in small towns, I love taking the train into the city to see art exhibits. In college, I took classes in the arts, ranging from art history classes to film studies. Yes, I actually got to watch movies for a real class! I'm excited to explore Santiago's museums and share what I learn about its art and culture with you all!

Moving around the Boston area while growing up has made me comfortable with making new homes in different places... but I've never moved this far from home. Santiago is 3,085 miles away from my current hometown of West Newbury, MA! I’m excited for you to join my journey, as I find a new home here in Santiago and share what I love and learn about it with all of you! ¡Vámonos! Let's go!
