Traveler Bio

Hello! My name is Riley, and I have been living in Indonesia for the past seven months. Before I moved to Indonesia, I lived outside of Boston, Massachusetts. I graduated from Wheaton College, MA last spring with a double degree in secondary education and English. With my passion for teaching, I applied to be a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Indonesia, and I was lucky enough to be one of 22 Americans chosen for the position. Here in Indonesia, I teach at an SMA, which is what we would call a high school. I live in the dorms with the students, and I love every minute of it. My days are full of sweet laughter and so much learning. Some days, I feel like I learn more than my students do! I'm constantly learning about the language, the culture and the people. My days can be exhausting, but I always fall asleep with a smile on my face. Indonesia is home to some of the kindest people that I have ever met, and I'm very excited to introduce you to all of them.
