My name is Renee Ormond. I was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona with my family. I have one younger sister and a cat and a dog. Growing up I loved reading books about far away places and different cultures. I especially liked reading about the people who lived in these places. Now that I am older, I have traveled to 15 countries and worked in countries like Colombia, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. My favoite country to live in was Colombia becauce I was an English teacher there. I loved going to school everyday and working with my students. I learned to speak Spanish in Colombia, and have been improving my language skills ever since.
This year I will be living in Norwich, England. In Norwich I will be studying at the University of East Anglia to get a Master's degree in international development, the field I have worked in for the last few years. I am so excited to explore English culture because I have read a lot about its history. I am most excited to visit the old castles and see famous monuments like Big Ben in London. I am also excited to make English friends and spend time in the beautiful Norwich countryside, hopefully with a good book!
