Traveler Bio

Who is ready to eat poutine, speak French and watching ice hockey in Montreal with me? My name is Mamunna Gorsi, and this semester I'm traveling from San Francisco, California to Montreal, Canada. From the foggy city to the snowy city, let’s see if I can handle the cold! I grew up in Northern California in a small town called Live Oak. I grew up around farms and orchards and then moved to the big city for college. I’m a proud Gator at San Francisco State University.

While in Montreal, I'll be continuing my education in civil engineering. I have never traveled abroad, so join me as I take my first international flight and experience many more firsts. I applied for and received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which has helped me make this study abroad opportunity possible. While in Canada, I plan to explore the historic sites and many other cities such as Toronto and Quebec City.

Through photos, articles and our video calls together, I hope you find out who I am and how this journey helps me. My goal is to inspire all of you to follow in my footsteps and study abroad yourselves one day. Let's get this journey underway!
