Traveler Bio

Sawah dee-khrap. Greetings. My name is Malachi Okechi Chukwu, but you can call me MK. I am originally from Nigeria. From a young age, I moved away from a little town in southeast Nigeria to Lagos. Lagos is one of the biggest cities in Nigeria. I have been to neighboring West African states like Benin. The result of these adventures was an eagerness to learn about other cultures and people as an adult.

It also motivated me to move to the United States in 2011. While in the U.S, my traveling experiences continued. I lived and worked in New York while traveling to Texas, Louisiana, Wisconsin and several other states. In 2012, I relocated to Reno, Nevada, for work for three years before moving to Colville, Washington, for college in 2015. I currently live in Cheney, attending Eastern Washington University. I double major in international affairs with an emphasis on global security and political science.

Travel, learning about cultures and meeting new people are very important for me. I applied for and was fortunate to be awarded the Gilman Scholarships to study in Thailand because I'm eager to explore new parts of the world. Currently, I live and study at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. I am excited and look forward to sharing this adventure with you all. I cannot wait to see what we all discovery together!
