Hola! Hello! My name is Kevin Ear, and yes, my last name is a body part. It's a long story, which I can explain later. I am 22 years old and I am from College Park, Georgia. My family's background is Chinese and Cambodian, but I was born and raised in Georgia. I currently speak English, Khmer (Cambodia's language), a little bit of Mandarin, and a Chinese dialect (Teochew). I am also learning Spanish, so I guess that makes me multi-lingual.
I grew up watching basketball with my father and became a huge NBA fanatic. My favorite team is the Miami Heat and my favorite players are Dwyane Wade and Lebron James. Two years ago, I got the opportunity to study abroad aboard a cruise ship that stopped in 11 different countries! As a result, I developed a passion for storytelling through photos or videos. I recently bought a new camera for my upcoming trip to Spain, and I'm excited to take some awesome photos for you all. I applied for and received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which has helped me make this study abroad opportunity in Spain possible.
Did you know that Ms. Gilliam was my 6th grade English teacher, and she was one of my favorite teachers ever? I have heard great things about all of you, and I can't wait to begin our journey together!
