Traveler Bio

Shalom! Hello! My name is Ethel, and I will be living in Tel Aviv, Israel for the spring semester. By living in Tel Aviv, I hope to be able to learn about its culture, languages, and how daily life differs compared to the U.S. Also, I will be able to work in a biology internship at Tel Aviv University, which will help me understand more about the field of biology, as well as how biology professionals work in a laboratory.

I grew up in Passaic, New Jersey with my parents and two older siblings. I am 20 years old and currently attend New York University (NYU). Living in New York City, I have been exposed to many different people, foods and cultures. However, living in another country gives a completely new perspective to its culture. At NYU, I am studying biology with minors in both mathematics and astronomy. Thanks to NYU, I have been given an amazing opportunity to study in Israel, which will positively impact my educational and professional career!

Aside from being given a chance to learn more about the field of biology, living in Tel Aviv will be a fantastic way to learn more about Israeli culture, and I can't wait to be able to share all my experiences with you!
