How did we get around this week? We rented a car. There are so many interesting and beautiful places in Puerto Rico that we got a car so we could visit some of them.
What was the most interesting place we visited this week? We went to the rainforest. The park is called El Yunque. It is the only tropical rainforest in the US park service.
This Week's Travel News: This week the crew of the Wanderlust explored Puerto Rico. Christopher Columbus was the first European to come to Puerto Rico. It wasn't called Puerto Rico then, though. It was called Borinquen. There were people living here, the Taino Indians, and that‘s what they called it. Columbus named the island San Juan de Bautista (St. John the Baptist). |
