Wow! It is hard to believe I have been in Granada, Spain for over three months now! Sometimes it feels like just yesterday that I landed in Europe and began my journey. It is not just my journey though. It has been our journey. It has been an absolute pleasure sharing my experience with each and every one of you over the past 12 weeks. I would like to take this time to share the most important lessons I learned beyond the classroom while studying abroad in Spain.

Firstly, I have learned how important it is to be part of a community. There is so much value in being a part of something greater than yourself and in doing things for the good of the people around you. The city of Granada has taught me how to thrive as part of their community, which has become my community as well. From interacting with people in the university to having a spontaneous conversation with someone on the public metro, I have experienced a tremendous amount of personal growth.  This growth is largely thanks to being one member of a community large in number, but close in connections that is Granada, Spain!

Secondly, living abroad has shown me how to open my eyes and view the world differently. Specfically, I see people in a different light now, compared to when I first arrived in Europe.
