All About Me!

After graduating from high school, I participated in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange, where I got to live and work in Germany for a whole year. I stayed with a host family in Düsseldorf, where I attended Gymnasium, which is what they call college preparatory school. I also interned at several different other schools as a teaching assistant. That year in Germany changed my life. I made so many friends, tried so many new things and really began to feel at home in Europe.

Last year was my freshman year at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, where I am studying German Education and English as a Second Language. This year, I decided to continue my studies abroad at the University of Mainz, which is in Mainz, Germany. Although this will be my second full year in Europe, I am a little bit nervous because this is my first time being completely on my own! I am much more excited than nervous, though, and I can't wait to meet new people and experience German university life. I am also looking forward to exploring as much as I can.

This year is going to be a fun adventure, and I am so glad we get to share it together. Thanks for coming along with me!
