Hello! My name is Roni, I'm 20 years old, and I'm studying abroad in Cochabamba, Bolivia. I was born in Israel and when I was still a baby, my family moved to the Bay Area of California, where I grew up in a city called San Mateo. At home, I speak Hebrew and English, usually in the same sentence, with my two big sisters, my mom and my dad. I’m the youngest sister and I’m the smallest— some of you are probably close to my height, which is five feet! When I was in the fourth and fifth grade, I loved soccer, the color green, eating food and reading. Little has changed since then— I still love all these things!

I decided to go to college far from home, in St. Paul, Minnesota. I hadn't lived anywhere where it snows, and it snows in Minnesota from November till May sometimes! Luckily, I'm missing the cold part and am enjoying the cochabambino (this means "from Cochabamba") sun as much as I can. In St. Paul, I study Educational Studies (how to be a teacher) and Sociology, where we try to answer “why?” about people and societies, which are groups of people and cultures. Outside of school, I have some really fun work in a high school and at my college. I also write poetry (but it never rhymes) and am in an improv group, where we make up theater on the spot.
