Farewell

I know the people on my routes too, and have made great friends throughout this journey whom I will miss. It's strange to go places and wonder if it's the last time I'll be here, or the last time I'll see someone.

Instead of trying to figure out how to live, my task now is to figure out how to say goodbye. I'm really excited to see my family, friends and of course my dog back at home, but a lot has changed since I left in the beginning of September.

In terms of how much has changed, I had my last week of teaching this week. I think back to my first week and remember how I didn't even know where my classrooms were. I had no teaching supplies (no marker, no eraser, no projector) and only eight students showed up. On the last day I had around 80 students!

I said at the beginning of this post that when I first arrived in Morocco, I couldn't imagine myself living here. But nowadays it's hard to imagine myself living back in the United States. I have about two months left in Morocco, and I intend to make the most of them! After exams are over, I will continue to travel around this beautiful country with friends. And in the entire month of June, life is going to change completely because it is the holy month of Ramadan. Even though I say I feel comfortable, there is still so much to do and so much to learn!
