A Child of Japan

Introduction:

Misato is 16-year-old girl who just started her first of three years in high school. She is very enthusiastic and loves meeting people from all around the world. She is working hard on her English and is even planning to study abroad in Australia before graduating high school! I got to take some time and interview her about daily life in Japan. She was so excited to be able to share her experience that she sent me some photos to share with you. Let's meet her!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, I eat bread and a drink. Something very simple. For lunch, I eat a bento box lunch prepared by my mom. This usually has rice, sweet omelet and some vegetables in it. For dinner, I share a meal with my family that has rice, miso soup and fish.

What is your house like?:

I live in a two-story house with an attic and a basement. There are two bathrooms and we have four TVs. This is a big house compared to apartments in the city.

What chores do you have at home?:

I’m in charge of cleaning the bath and toilet as well as my room! My mom does the family laundry.

What jobs do your parents have?:

My dad works in an industrial area and is in charge of design. My mom is a stay-at-home mom and is in charge of the house and money.
