A Day in the Life of a 6th-Grader

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

Ju Won has visited one other country: Japan! He visited last summer on a trip with his mother. They went to Osaka, Japan and made a special trip to Universal Studios Japan. His favorite part of that trip was seeing the Harry Potter Wizarding World. He ended up buying a Voldemort wand, and he keeps it in the family room for everyone to see. He also really liked Japan because he enjoys Japanese food and loves the anime "One Piece."

What do you do for work?:

Ju Won laughed at this question! "I am a student, Paavani Teacher." Ju Won is currently in the 6th grade. He goes to school every morning at 8:30 a.m. Classes officially start at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 3:00 in the afternoon. After school, he sometimes has club classes like badminton or music. On other days he goes to hagwons, which are study academies for school subjectsIn his free time, Ju Won likes to play phone games and draw.

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

Ju Won didn't have anything specific to say to students, but he did have a lot of questions. "Do American students like animation [anime]? What do American students know about Korea? Where should I go if I visit America?". Just like you are learning about Korea through these posts, I hope that Ju Won can learn about America through me and our interactions on Reach the World!
