Hola! Hello! My name is Olivia Panda and I am 22 years old. I was born and raised in a small town in Florida called DeLand. I lived in the same exact place until I started college when I was 18 years old. I attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida which is only a couple hours from DeLand. In college, I studied elementary education and Spanish.
I've known I wanted to be an elementary school teacher ever since I was a student about your age, but I didn't know I wanted to study Spanish until I traveled to Spain after my second year of college. Not only was that the first time I traveled out of the country, but it was one of the first times I traveled away from my hometown. Now, I'm excited to be living in Oviedo, Spain and assistant teaching at two different schools.
While in Spain, I plan to read lots of Spanish books, hike the national parks, and drink coffee at every cafe in Oviedo. I'm so happy that I get to share all of this with you! We are going to learn so much about what makes life in Spain different from life in the U.S. and the things that aren't as different as we think. Let's get started!
