Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a kid in a different country? I got to see what it's like, when I worked with a classroom of seven third-graders in Mexico.
For breakfast the kids eat eggs, cereal and fruit. For lunch the kids bring sandwiches, quesadillas, chips and tortas. For dinner the kids eat typical Mexican food such as enfrijoladas, enchiladas and soup.
Some of the kids live in two-story houses in neighborhoods that are close to the school.
At home the kids have to clean their rooms, wash the dishes and set the table. Do you have similar chores?
Some of the parents are businessmen and businesswomen.
School starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m.
Parents drive the kids to school. They are not allowed to go to school by themselves, since they are too young and it is too far for them to walk.
