This week, I enjoyed seeing someone make a saree. A saree is a traditional Indian outfit. It is a really long piece of cloth (six yards!) that is wrapped around you to form a toga-like dress.
I haven't had a chance to read much this week, but I did listen to a few podcasts. A podcast is something you listen to instead of watch so I listen to podcasts in cars, flights, and when the internet is not working well!
I didn't play any sports this week, but I did watch a game of kabadi.
Kabadi is an Indian sport that is not similar to anything else that I can think of! There is a rectangular court with two teams. One player from a team goes to the other team's side of the court and tries to tag as many players as they can without being tackled while holding their breath. Then they return to their own side of the court and the other team goes.
I think one of my wisdom teeth is coming out, so I may have to get dental surgery in India! It's always interesting to see how healthcare is in another country, especially as a medical student myself.
