Mickayla's Journey to Ireland

Current Location

Cork, Ireland and Cahersiveen, Kerry, Ireland

I am studying at the University College Cork in Ireland for the spring semester! I will also be travelling around Europe during this time and I can't wait to share all my adventures with you!

This week, I attended classes as usual but, for the weekend, I was in the most southwest part of Ireland! If you want to see more pictures I've posted a full album of them for you to explore!

I had heard a number of stereotypes about the Irish before arriving to Ireland. In this journal, I will discuss the stereotypes of Ireland and how the Irish really behave, look and act.

Field Notes

There are a lot of plants and animals native to Ireland! However, many of them are similar to what we would see in Minnesota so I'm going to talk about a unique plant I've noticed!

I am in an archaeology class at UCC! This past weekend, we went on a field trip to the Ballinacarriga Tower house, Coppinger's Court, and the Drombeg Stone Circle and Fulacht Fiadh!
