Fahd from Morocco

Introduction:

Fahd is a 9-year-old boy who lives in the medina (the old part of the city) in Morocco. He was excited to be interviewed.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

In the morning, I drink orange juice and eat milwee, crepes with nutella and eggs. (Milwee is a delicious breakfast treat made from eggs, flour and water). For lunch and dinner, I sometimes eat pizza, tajin, couscous or chicken with french fries.

What is your house like?:

My house has three floors. The top floor is an open space with a room in the corner where my uncle sleeps.  There is a window on the ceiling of the middle floor that lets sunlight in. There is a sekaya (a decorative fountain on the wall) in our living room. I sleep in a room with my mom. My great-grandma has her own room next to the family room where we watch television. My grandparents have their own room on the bottom. My grandma is usually in the kitchen cooking our meals. And you (Laura the interviewer) live here too!

What chores do you have at home?:

Sometimes I help my mom with putting my socks away. I have reading and math homework from school.

What jobs do your parents have?:

My mom works for Amazon in Morocco.
