How We Travel

Unlike our town in America, our village in Spain is very, very old. It goes back to the 15th century! It is a special place where people who had different religions (Jews, Christians and Muslims) lived together peacefully for 800 years.

The streets in most of the village are too narrow for cars. Sometimes you still see donkeys and horses being used just like in the old days. They have lots of festivals in our village. The whole village participates. The kids play in the streets because they do not have to worry about cars.

We can walk to everything in our village. Everybody walks their kids to school and picks them up at 2:00 PM when they get out. If they live in the countryside, they may drive a moped.

Sometimes we go traveling for a month or more away from our motor home and village. We each take a small backpack. We usually stay in small hotels, or if we are very lucky, in a fancy hotel.
